A sincere thank you to all those who contributed to this charitable cause.
This is in keeping with our mission to feed those in need immediately.
Dear WCNS Members and Friends,
As we all continue to travel this uncertain path, the WCNS Executive Board came to the realization of the difficulties before us in order to honor the commitment made to our philanthropy beneficiaries.
It has become clear that due to the immense time required for planning, soliciting, organizing and publicizing the WCNS’s only fundraising event, as well as our intent to follow scientific, state and federal Open Up America Again guidelines, we will need to cancel the 2020 Giving Fair. It was not a decision made in haste, but made with much sadness.
It did occur to us, and more than likely crossed your minds as well, that there should be a way that we could still help our Cape Cod community, particularly during these days when its needs have increased exponentially. In keeping with our mission to feed those individuals and families most in need on the upper Cape, we would ask that you consider a donation to:
The Women’s Club of New Seabury Charitable Trust
PO Box 906
Mashpee, MA 02649
All donations will be distributed to the food pantries at St. Vincent de Paul, Mashpee and the Falmouth Service Center immediately. Their need is genuine.
If you have supported our previous Giving Fairs, you will recall the enjoyment in participation that culminated with substantial results, allowing us to bring comfort to individuals and families in our own Cape Cod community. Thinking back is sure to bring a smile. Let’s put some smiles on the faces of those who are struggling through this difficult time.
With many thanks for your generosity,
The WCNS Executive Board
